What Is Biodynamics?

Biodynamics is a spiritual-ethical-ecological approach to agriculture, food production and nutrition. Biodynamics was first developed in the early 1920s based on the spiritual insights and practical suggestions of the Austrian writer, educator and social activist Dr. Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), whose philosophy is called “anthroposophy.” Today, the biodynamic movement encompasses thousands of successful gardens, farms, vineyards and agricultural operations of all kinds and sizes on all continents, in a wide variety of ecological and economic settings. Who We Are

The Biodynamic Association (BDA) is an association of individuals and organizations in North America who are committed to the transformation of the whole food system, from farm to table, and who draw inspiration from the spiritual-scientific insights of Rudolf Steiner. Biodynamics is a worldwide movement for the renewal of agriculture based on an understanding of the spiritual forces at work in nature and in human social life. From this understanding, a particular form of organic farming has been developed that continues to grow and evolve around the world. Find out more….

    we have found some biodynamic information in your site and would like to inform you about our 13 years acitivity in connection with biodynamics in nepal

    we also offer some prositions a year for volunteers and usually get mostly european young people,

    maybe a blog in your site will be another way of allowing american people to get some info on our efforts,
    also we really have since 5 years Demeter certification and also are doing a small amount of purchases to US, which means we have also NPO certification.

    Hello, Would you please provide me the contact information for Sarah Weber? A year or two ago, she wrote an article for your website which was about biodynamic initiatives in Mexico. I live in Mexico (a small town an hour or so south of Mexico City) and would like to find out if I can obtain biodynamic preparations here. Thank you, John Stern
